KitchenAid began it's long history of quality products in 1919 with the development of the first stand mixer. Called 'the best kitchen aid' by an executive's wife, a brand was born. In 1946 the dishwasher was introduced. In 1955, Chambers Range Company was purchased expanding the company's reach to the cooking realm, and color stand mixers were added to their line of original high quality mixers. In 1986, an entire line of large appliances were introduced, including refrigerators. Blenders were added as portable small appliances in 1992.
Today the company offers additional products such as induction cooktops, slow cook warming drawers and full wall convection ovens with steam-assist technology.
