The first blender was created in 1922 by Stephen Poplawski. In 1933 Fred Osius took Poplawski's invention, made improvements and patented it. He later introduced it to Fred Waring who made additional improvements and re-introduced it in 1937 then in 1938 renamed it the Waring Blender. They are still a popular small kitchen appliance today.
